One of the familiar growing pains that I go through each year is having ensuring that our truck fleet with be reliable and functional during the year.
There are challenges in transporting our temporary fence products and portable sanitation toilets and VIP Trailers. Our products are heavy to carry and bulky in design. You just do not open your trunk of your car and drive to a customers site.
A friend once told me that we are in the “moving business” He was right and we take our delivery commitments very seriously.
We recently purchased a Ford 350 Dual Rear Drive Truck that has the capabilities of pulling any of our 9 trailers in the yard, but more importantly it will do it safely and carry 6 men to the job site at the same time.
In the future, we may have 5 or 6 of these wonderful trucks. They can do just about anything we need. In our business, we need to be versatile and that means investing in trucks that have more than one purpose and weight pulling capacity.

Comprehensive Builders is a contractor from Utah, that specializes in all types construction and design of new facilities that are located in highly visible locations. We received a call from their lead point of contact Danny that had requested information about our services.
He explained that the project was a highly visible property on Mowry Avenue in Fremont, CA and that he would be receiving sign ed contracts within a day and needed temporary fencing and a portable toilet for the project.
We exchanged information and the next day he called back and explained that we had the most competitive full service bid for all of the site services that he needed and that we were to schedule him ASAP.
Hanson & Fitch Temporary Site Services was able to meet his criteria of a complete installation in 48 hours and there will probably be additional fencing that will be needed as the project continues. We are pleased to have been introduced to Danny and his team from Comprehensive Builders and we thank them for their business.

Today, Hanson & Fitch received a call from Robert Vargas at the Seville Group of Monterey County.
Robert needed around 500 feet of temporary fence for Cesar Chavez Elementary School in Salinas, CA. He also needed some custom gates built for the job and we would need to install the temporary fence first and then measure the openings in which to make the gates.
The challenging aspect of the job was the fact that all of the temporary fence need to be driven into asphalt - much more time consuming than setting temporary fence panels in stands.
